Amber Gottschalk is an experienced Addiction Clinician, Registered Psychotherapist, EMDR Practitioner, Psychedelic Practitioner, Clinical Supervisor, EMT, Medical Assistant, and author of The Addictive Brain Journal. With more than 18 years of dedicated experience in the fields of addiction recovery, mental health, exercise science, and nutrition, she has built a career focused on helping individuals achieve lasting healing through both evidence-based and holistic approaches in Colorado. Her work emphasizes the connection between mind and body, integrating traditional therapeutic modalities with wellness-centered interventions to support sustainable recovery and emotional well-being.
As the founder and owner of The Spirit Tree LLC Chat Therapy, Amber leads a holistic wellness and mental health practice committed to comprehensive care. Since 2022, she has provided telehealth-based therapy and addiction treatment services in collaboration with aligned agencies to ensure clients receive individualized and integrative support. Her specialties include solution-focused therapy, EMDR, psychedelic-assisted approaches, trauma-informed care, and the incorporation of nutrition and exercise into treatment planning. Through her work, Amber remains passionate about empowering clients to rediscover balance, resilience, and purpose while fostering long-term emotional and physical wellness.
In 2025, Amber recognized the growing need for accessible and affordable therapeutic support and developed Chat Therapy, an innovative all-inclusive AI platform focused on mental health, fitness, nutrition, and holistic functional wellness practices. In response to rising co-pays, limited insurance accessibility, provider shortages, and the increasing cost of traditional therapy services, she created a solution designed to help bridge critical gaps in care for underserved populations. Her vision was to provide an affordable, supportive, and accessible resource that integrates emotional wellness with whole-body health, while complementing traditional therapeutic services and expanding access to care for individuals in need.
